STUDIO, ABOUT
himade is a small independent studio that makes original daily puzzles. Each game is one puzzle a day, the same for everyone, played in the browser on a phone or laptop in a few minutes, with a spoiler-free result card to share afterwards. There is nothing to install, no account and no paywall. Every game is an original mechanic rather than a variant of an existing one, and each lives in its own visual world: a cyanotype survey sheet, an editor's night desk, an airship's chart table, an air-mail envelope. We count plays with privacy-friendly analytics and carry no ad trackers.

BLANK SPOTS
Play: https://blank-spots.pages.dev
Puzzle No. 1: 2 November 2026

One-liner:
Find the countries the map left blank.

How it plays:
One fact is charted on a world map; find the five countries that share it but were left blank.

Description (97 words):
Blank Spots is a daily map survey. Each day a cyanotype survey sheet charts one fact, such as "drives on the left", and hatches every country that shares it. Five more countries that also share it were left blank. Find them by tapping the map or typing a name, before five false leads close the survey. Every fact is checked against a public source, and each hidden country comes with a one-line reason, so a finished sheet teaches you something about the world. Everyone gets the same sheet, and it ends with a spoiler-free card to share.

FIRST DRAFT
Play: https://first-draft-7ax.pages.dev
Puzzle No. 1: 2 November 2026

One-liner:
Name the topic from Wikipedia's very first version.

How it plays:
Read the first surviving draft of a Wikipedia article, subject taped over, and name it in as few lines as you can.

Description (101 words):
First Draft is a daily puzzle from the archive. Each day you read the earliest surviving revision of one Wikipedia article: the short, earnest, sometimes funny first draft, with its subject taped over and the giveaway words painted out. Name the subject in as few lines as you can. The first line is the most obscure, and every wrong guess, or Read on, uncovers the next. Matching forgives small typos and stray articles, but the drafts are picked to be hard. Each draft credits the editor who saved it, under CC BY-SA, and every result becomes a spoiler-free clipping to share.

HEADINGS
Play: https://headings-57g.pages.dev
Puzzle No. 1: 2 November 2026

One-liner:
Find the capital your airship is moored above.

How it plays:
A compass rose gives bearings from a mystery capital to five others; take fixes and find where your airship is moored.

Description (102 words):
Headings is a daily navigation puzzle set at the chart table of a 1930s airship. Your airship is moored above a mystery capital. The compass rose shows the bearing from it to five landmark capitals. Type a country to take a fix: you learn only how far its capital lies from yours, pencilled onto the chart as a range ring, with ticks showing where the landmarks would bear from your guess. After three fixes the landmarks' own ranges unseal. You have six fixes to find your position. When the flight ends, the rose unfolds into a real map centred on the answer.

BEELINE
Play: https://beeline-cus.pages.dev
Puzzle No. 1: 2 November 2026

One-liner:
Name every country a great-circle route crosses.

How it plays:
Two cities and the shortest route between them on an unlabelled chart: name every country the flight crosses.

Description (100 words):
Beeline is the daily air-mail flight: two cities, the shortest possible route between them along a great circle, and a chart with no names on it. Name every country the flight passes over. A wrong guess is a detour that tells you how far off course you were and which way the route lies; five detours and the letter is returned to sender. Every flight crosses at least four countries between its endpoints, and you earn a bonus stamp for each country you name in flight order. Great-circle routes rarely go where intuition expects, which is the fun of it.
